Soren Kierkegaard once wrote, “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards”. In many ways this is the essence of the work I engage in with those who are seeking to make sense of their lives and circumstances and begin to examine the inner wounds that have kept them feeling stuck and frustrated. I believe that every person has many complex parts that work together to produce unique insights into how they can journey forward, they need only be given the tools and support to explore them.

Many years in various positions in ministry/community-based positions have allowed me the honor of working with adolescents and adults of all ages as they have navigated through some of the most challenging and vulnerable times of their lives. As a mental health professional and Liberty University graduate, I now have received certifications in Trauma care, EMDR,  and Internal Family Systems to better serve a growing number of mental health challenges in our community. I also offer creative and outside the box methods that complement and enhance healing, including arts-based interventions and spiritual integration.

Everyone longs to have their story heard with compassion, understanding, and encouragement. I believe people should be able to share openly with respect and without fear of judgement. There is always hope for healing in everyone and I consider it a pleasure to offer a space for all who seek it.
